Football Stars Don't Date Cinderella

Three autumn nights. One enchanted necklace. What could go wrong?

I've had a crush on Ethan Reyes for ages. I never believed he would even look at me, let alone talk to me, but one day he sits next to me on the bus and...we actually get on well. But I still think it's hopeless. My stepbrother intends to take Ethan's place as star football player next year, and he makes it pretty clear that he doesn't want me ruining his chances.

At Topaz Coast Sixth Form, it's tradition every autumn half-term to hold three parties at mystery locations. My best friend is the first host and I'd love nothing more to go, but my stepmother volunteers me to help clean the college during those nights. But then the cleaning lady and janitor offer to help me go to all three of the parties. Better still, they enchant my necklace so that I can't be recognised.

So why does Ethan keep seeking me out?

New Boys Can't Date The Snow Queen

A frozen heart. A fiery newcomer. Immovable object, meet unstoppable force...

I can’t risk my secret getting out. To make sure nobody finds out what I’m hiding, I’ve distanced myself from almost all my friends and gained a reputation for being aloof. But Blake Starfyre doesn’t seem bothered at all. No matter how cold and unfriendly I am, he just keeps acting normally around me.

My best – make that my only – friend seems to think he has a crush on me.

Since I’m part of the events committee at my sixth form, I’m responsible for helping to plan the Christmas ball – and I’m paired up with Blake to work on decorations. And I’m finding it harder and harder to keep my distance from him. He’s warm and kind, and his fire magic is just beautiful.

But if he finds out my secret, my family will be shattered.

Bad Boys Can't Date Persephone

She's been sheltered. He won't go back to a cage. What happens when they find themselves trapped together?

I think it's fair to say that my mum is overprotective. In fact, I'm pretty sure if she had her way, I wouldn't be dating until I'm thirty.

But I can't stop thinking about this boy who keeps visiting my workplace. He's definitely a bad boy - someone my mum would not approve of - and his smile sends strange flutters through me.

When I'm caught in a rainstorm, he offers me a ride back to his place to wait it out. There's no way I'm turning that down, but almost as soon as the rain dies down the wards he's got around the place activate, leaving us both trapped. Turns out he's hiding from his very rich and dangerous family, and they just turned up in Topaz Coast. The wards are meant to protect him but since they won't relax until his family leaves, we are officially stuck together.

I don't know who is going to be the bigger problem - my family or his.

Rich Girls Don't Date King Thrushbeard

A "spoiled princess". A bid for freedom. And a plan that goes horribly wrong.

I'm tired of having my life planned for me. And I'm really tired of my parents keep trying to set me up with boys they think are suitable and whom I don't even like. When I reject their latest attempt after overhearing him call me a "spoiled princess" behind my back, Dad tells me I'll be dating the next one whether I like it or not.

So I pack my bag, grab a disguise spell and catch the first bus out of town.

Probably not my best idea. When a farmer and his wife offer me a place to stay for the weekend in exchange for helping out around their farm, I jump at the chance. It's a gorgeous place and my small amount of magic does actually come in handy - except their eldest son is the guy I just turned down and it turns out that maybe he's not as bad as I thought he was.

If that wasn't enough, the disguise spell I'm wearing has an expiry date. But that should be OK, right? It's not like I'll be around long enough for that to be a problem...

Bookworms Can't Date Mermaids

A missing artefact. A suspicious bookworm. And a newcomer with a lot to hide...

Everyone born in Seaglass Cove can breathe underwater. It's as awesome as it sounds, and even helped me save someone's life once!

I'm the first person in my family to go to Topaz Coast Sixth Form. My parents weren't keen on letting me go, but when the Mayor pointed out it would be a great opportunity for my future, they agreed. OK, it's for the final year, not two, but still! But before I leave, the Mayor asks a favour: a valuable town artefact has been missing for years and it's rumoured to be hidden in Topaz Coast. Specifically, at the sixth form itself.

I don't think it is there, but she’s the Mayor so I agree just to be polite. And sixth form is every bit as great as I'd hoped! I make some great friends, and I love how beautiful the town is in autumn. Unfortunately, there is one small problem: the boy whose life I saved is also at the sixth form. His name is Stephen, and I think he knows who I am.

When the Mayor wants answers about the artefact, I have no choice but to look for it - and I find myself growing closer to Stephen. Do I tell him my secrets, or not? And am I trusting the wrong person?
