Who does she really want to become?
Isabel’s life changed when her older brother abandoned his title. She had no choice but to step in and prepare to inherit the position and responsibilities of the Monray heir, all while maintaining an aloof and icy veneer. Her parlante skills – the ability to mentally communicate – give her an advantage, but only if she and the other parlante trust each other.
Then newcomers arrive in her region, sent to receive shelter after losing their homes – and Isabel is asked to be the one to greet them. As she interacts with them more and more, she finds it harder and harder to keep them from seeing who she truly is.
Can Isabel fulfil her duties without losing herself?
